Milan, December 2024<\/em>\u00a0– The\u00a0Chicago Athenaeum\u00a0has nominated\u00a0five projects designed by Pininfarina\u00a0and winners of the\u00a0Good Design Award 2024, including the\u00a0APD concept\u00a0–\u00a0Air Performance Design\u00a0–\u00a0Vmoto’s 100% Electric Maxi Scooter.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Good Design Award<\/strong>\u00a0is the most prestigious international award that recognizes the best designers each year for their efforts to create innovative, cutting-edge products. The design program is organized by the\u00a0Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture\u00a0in collaboration with the\u00a0European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.<\/p>\n

APD CONCEPT –\u00a0Air Performance Design\u00a0– 100% Electric,<\/strong>\u00a0designed by Pininfarina for VMOTO, is an\u00a0electric maxi scooter\u00a0that combines\u00a0aerodynamic efficiency\u00a0and\u00a0ecological design.<\/p>\n

In fact, the scooter has a strong horizontal development, emphasized by LED light friezes, ending in a truncated tail reminiscent of automotive Kammbacks, an expedient as much aerodynamic as aesthetic that Pininfarina has used in the past on some of its most famous designs, confirming its unique ability to combine\u00a0style and aerodynamics.<\/p>\n

Aerodynamic study is a crucial design element, but not only that. In fact, APD Concept takes\u00a0advantage of precise wind tunnel engineering\u00a0to improve the dynamic performance of the electric vehicle. Reducing air impact has an immediate and tangible effect on\u00a0battery life\u00a0and e-mobility\u00a0performance. In addition, air flows have been carefully channelized to keep the batteries and motors at a\u00a0perfect controlled operating temperature, which preserve\u00a0battery life\u00a0and improve\u00a0efficiency.<\/p>\n
