Gijon (Spain), 30th<\/sup>\u00a0April 2025<\/em>\u00a0– Everything is ready for the\u00a02025 edition\u00a0<\/strong>of the\u00a0Vespa World Days<\/strong>, the spectacular Vespa rally which is set to return to\u00a0Spain\u00a0<\/strong>after an absence of 25 years:\u00a0from Thursday 1st<\/sup>\u00a0May to Sunday 4th<\/sup>\u00a0May,\u00a0<\/strong>the Asturian city of\u00a0Gij\u00f3n\u00a0<\/strong>– an important port on the Bay of Biscay – will welcome a multitude of Vespa enthusiasts, representing thousands of Vespa Clubs from all over the world.<\/p>\n

The rich programme of events, which is being continuously updated, can be viewed on the\u00a0website\u00a0www.vespaworldclub.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As ever, the\u00a0Vespa Village<\/strong>\u00a0will be at the heart of the action, and will be based in the Luis Adaro Exhibition Centre, near the centre of Gij\u00f3n: this exhibition space is perfect for hosting the many exciting events scheduled to be held here, including live music, stands and a food & beverage area. The\u00a0Vespa Tours<\/strong>\u00a0will also depart from here – excursions designed to enable Vespa riders to discover the most beautiful landscapes of the Asturias region, and the stunning Atlantic coast.<\/p>\n

As is traditional, the key event is set to take place on Saturday 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0May: the\u00a0Vespa Parade<\/strong>. Thousands of Vespa lovers, in the saddle of Vespa bikes from every decade, will parade through the city, a joyful, colourful procession that will wind its way through Gij\u00f3n – a truly incredible sight! Following the amazing parade in Pontedera during the 2024 edition of the event, which broke all previous records with over 15,000 Vespas creating a snake which extended for more than 16 km, another record-breaking turnout is expected this year.<\/p>\n

Finally, the\u00a0Vespa Trophy<\/strong>\u00a0will also be presented: the awards ceremony will be held on the final day, Sunday 4th<\/sup>\u00a0May. This highly coveted\u00a0touring trophy<\/strong>\u00a0pits Vespa Club members against each other, challenging them to document all the stages of their Vespa journey to Gij\u00f3n, via photos and special stamps in their Travel Books.<\/p>\n

The Vespa World Days<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Vespa World Days event is a celebration of the timeless legend of the Vespa.
This vehicle has become so much more than an easy, elegant means of transport used for commuting – it is now a global icon of Italian style, adored by entire generations.
Vespa and the love of its fans were essentially born at the same time – so much so that as early as 1946, the year the world’s most famous scooter was created, owners of this icon decided to join forces, forming the very first Vespa Clubs. The desire of these clubs to come together to celebrate their passion en masse was first realised in\u00a01954<\/strong>, with the great\u00a0International Rally in Paris<\/strong>.
In 2024, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of EuroVespa – an event that has been known as Vespa World Days since 2007, with a view to emphasising its global spirit – the rally was held in Pontedera for the very first time, the city where Vespa was born, and where it has been manufactured since 1946: this record-breaking edition was attended by over 30,000 Vespa enthusiasts.
Today, a total of\u00a066 countries are part of the Vespa World Club through their own national Vespa Clubs,<\/strong>\u00a0representing all five continents and millions of Vespa lovers from around the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
